Dear members, During school holidays, parents/ guardians of young children spend more time with the children. If you have noticed that the child is struggling to cope with mental health related issues which are not officially diagnosed and not treated or are low level only which does not need medical attention, KOOTH is for your child/ children. it is a free and confidential service for children aged 12 to 18 (up to 26 year old if they have Special Educational Needs) can sign up and use this service free of charge. This is an opportunity for them to engage with a professional and trained counsellors and practitioners as well as making new friends within their age group to share their views, feelings and concerns. There are some games and interactive activities also on the platform which are design to engage the children and divert from the anxieties they are experiencing. It is 100% confidential. The child can remain anonymous and no data is taken or shared except for imminent safeguarding risks if the child has expressed such concerns to the team members. This is a secure platform - there are safeguarding measures in place to prevent any misuse and every exchange between the peers is monitored and controlled to prevent any misuse of the platform. If you think your child can benefit from this but still have concerns, there are FAQs and forums for parents to better understand how this platform works and what support is out there.
