BBQ Safety in Hot Weather

With the current hot and dry weather, please take extra care when using BBQs. Dry grass, fences, sheds and other combustible materials can ignite quickly, increasing the risk of fire spreading.

✅ Position BBQs on a flat, stable surface away from buildings, fences and vegetation.
✅ Never leave a BBQ unattended.
✅ Keep children and pets away from cooking areas.
✅ Have water, a bucket of sand or a fire extinguisher nearby.
✅ Ensure BBQs are fully extinguished and cooled before disposal.
