Joint Meet the Police Event SATURDAY 15TH AUGUST CRYSTAL PALACE PARK 1200-1430

On Saturday 15th August the local Lambeth and Croydon Met Police community police teams are to have a  "joint" street briefing for Crystal Palace and the Great North Wood (Upper, Lower, West and South Norwood!). 

It will be from 1200-1430 in Crystal Palace Park SE19.

Officers from the  Gipsy Hill and Knights Hill teams will be joined by colleagues from the Croydon teams with whom they work to cover the Crystal Palace triangle (where four boroughs meet). 

The location is the  Grand  Centre Walk SE20  (Whatthreewords location is TWIST.CLAP.PAID.)  beside the new children’s play area and Cafe.   There will be a gazebo, tables, promotional stands and MET ENGAGE/Violence Against Girls and Women leaflets etc to distribute or be scanned.

The police cadets will be present with some interactive engagement for children.

This should be a great opportunity to meet and raise matters with local officers and/or discuss common concerns, informally in the park, in the sun shine. 

P.S. Also on Saturday the Dulwich Woods police team (Southwark) has a Meet the Police event from 11.00 to 12.00 opposite Tesco at the junction of Croxted Road  and Park Hall Road.  

I plan to attend the Dulwich Woods meeting (I have said I will ask about the current situation vis a vis school patrols for those living in West Dulwich/Gipsy Hill and attending schools in Dulwich Woods).  

I plan to then catch a Number 3 bus to join the event in Crystal Palace park to be available to talk about co-operation between Neighbourhood Watch and the local police teams and panels.
