Dear Residents, Please be aware of planning application 26/00692/FUL, which proposes the construction of an additional floor at Imtech House, creating six extra flats. The deadline for submitting comments and objections is 19th August, so it is important that residents act as soon as possible. The application is currently being considered by Spelthorne Borough Council. If you have concerns about this proposal, I strongly encourage you to submit an objection before the deadline. Individual objections carry more weight and it is important that the Council understands the level of local concern. The proposal represents overdevelopment of the site and would increase residential density beyond what was originally approved.
The additional storey would make the building more visually dominant and could harm the character and appearance of the surrounding area.
More flats will place additional pressure on local infrastructure and services, including healthcare, public transport and community facilities.
Existing residents already experience concerns relating to the building's management and anti-social behaviour, and further expansion may worsen these issues.
The proposal would have a negative impact on the amenity and quality of life of neighbouring residents. Please take a few minutes to submit your comments before 19 August.
