Dear Resident Motorbike riders from Huntingdon who are not on a full licence are being offered a free rider training course in Huntingdon. Sadly, motorcyclists remain one of the most vulnerable road users making up 25% of road deaths. Despite representing 1% of road users. The ‘Ride Safe’ one day session is aimed at those who have just passed their CBT or hold an A1, A2 or full A licence. It is an ideal introduction course for young riders or those who regularly ride but don’t have a full licence. During the session riders will be given a classroom safety session and the chance to go on a ride-on with an expert tutor. The event is being held by Peterborough and Cambridgeshire Advanced Motorcyclists and has been funded by Huntingdon Freemen’s Trust. Myself and advanced rider and driving school instructor, PC Darren Osker, will deliver some of the training. The course is designed to help riders become smoother, safer and more confident. There are 15 spaces available on a course on September 12. To book your space visit - https://pecam.org.uk/training/huntingdon-ridesafe/ Kind regards PC AJ Boddington Casualty Reduction Officer
