Good afternoon,

Thank you to everyone who came along to our recent drop-in session at Florence's in Goudhurst. It was wonderful to meet so many local residents and hear your thoughts, concerns and ideas. Talking with you has given us a valuable insight into what matters most to our communities and how we can best support you.

Our next drop-in session will be held at Horsmonden Social Club on Saturday 14th November from 11:30am, and we would be delighted to welcome you there.

The session is open to residents from all our local villages, including Horsmonden, Matfield, Brenchley, Goudhurst and Lamberhurst, so please do consider coming along. We have chosen a Saturday in the hope that it will be convenient for as many people as possible.

Whether you have concerns you'd like to discuss, questions to ask, or simply want to meet your local policing team, we'd love to see you there.

Weekly roundup. 

On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of attending the Community Lunch at Goudhurst Church. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet many of you, have a chat, and hear about the issues that matter most to our local community. Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us.

We have recently received a number of reports regarding vehicles parking on the pavements along Lurkins Rise. In response, we have been carrying out leaflet drops and offering words of advice to drivers in the area. We would kindly ask everyone to be mindful of others when parking. Parking on pavements can make it difficult for pedestrians, parents with pushchairs, wheelchair users, and those with mobility issues to get around safely. A little consideration can make a big difference to our community. Thank you for your support and understanding in this matter. 

We have also received several reports of rural burglaries, as well as break-ins to sheds and garages across the area. We'd like to remind everyone to take a few simple precautions to help keep their property secure, such as securing outbuildings, and ensuring valuable items are stored out of sight where possible. We will continue to carry out reassurance patrols and engage with our communities to help prevent crime and keep residents informed.

In addition, we will be continuing with our random speed checks across the local villages. These checks help to address concerns raised by residents and encourage safer driving on our roads.
