OP NEBULAR - Environmental Visual Audit Update

On Friday 14 August 2026, I conducted an Environmental Visual Audit (EVA) of the area shown on the map. An EVA is a structured assessment of an area which looks at environmental factors that may contribute to crime, anti-social behaviour or a general feeling of unsafety. It helps identify opportunities for improvements to things such as lighting, visibility, maintenance, signage, access routes, and other features that can influence how an area is used.

The audit proved to be very insightful and has already generated a number of additional ideas that could help improve the area. A detailed report is now being prepared which sets out the findings and recommendations identified during the visit.

The report will be shared with the key stakeholders (District and Town councils) in the first instance, after which I hope to provide an update to the wider community through My Community Voice.

As I have said from the beginning, this is an ongoing project. The aim is not to find a single solution overnight, but to make a series of small, positive changes over time that, together, create a lasting improvement for the area and help address the issues that have been identified.
