🔥 Wildfire: Please Help Keep Our Communities Safe 🔥

With the current hot and dry weather, the risk of wildfires remains extremely high. Even a small spark can quickly develop into a serious fire, putting people, homes, wildlife and emergency services at risk.

Following advice from the Fire Service, please refrain from:

❌ Using disposable barbecues
❌ Lighting campfires or bonfires
❌ Using fire pits or garden incinerators
❌ Discarding cigarettes or smoking materials carelessly
❌ Leaving litter, particularly glass bottles, which can contribute to fires starting
❌ Using fireworks or anything else that could create a spark near dry grass or vegetation

If you're out enjoying the countryside, parks or open spaces, please be vigilant and report any signs of fire immediately by calling 999. Do not assume someone else has already reported it. 

🚓 If you see any behaviour that could increase the risk of fires, or have concerns about a particular location, please let us know. By working together, we can help protect our communities and prevent unnecessary damage during this period of increased risk.
