Appealing following fatal collision in Yateley |

We are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal collision in Yateley. Police were called just after 9:30pm on Saturday 15 August, to a report of a single vehicle collision involving a blue Ford Focus on Cricket Hill Lane. Emergency services attended and an 18-year-old man from Fleet was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he later sadly passed away. Another 18-year-old man suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries. Two other people reported minor injuries. An 18-year-old man from Fleet was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in police custody at this time. Detective Sergeant Edward Crofts, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “An investigation has been launched to establish the full circumstances of this collision, in which a young man has sadly lost his life. “As part of our enquiries, we are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, or who saw the car shortly beforehand in the A30 / A327 roundabout area, to come forward. “We would particularly like to hear from anyone with relevant dash cam or CCTV footage, if you have not already spoken to us. “Our thoughts remain with those affected by this incident, and specialist officers will be supporting the family of the 18-year-old man who passed away.” If you have any information, please call 101 quoting reference 44260396728, or you can submit relevant footage through the following link:
