Road Safety Issues

Dear Resident

Many of you in Leyland have told us via Lancashire Talking that Road Safety is an issue where you live.

Due to this your local Task Force have today been out tackling Anti Social Drivers amongst other things.

Subsequently we have seized the two cars in the image for driving without valid insurance.

There seems to be a common misconception amongst drivers that you can drive ANY Vehicle if you have a fully Comprehensive insurance package on a vehicle but this is NOT the case.  You must check your own Policy before choosing to drive another vehicle because you could risk having that car seized and potentially 6 Penalty Points on your licence.

To those of you who have told us about the Road safety issues then I hope you can see that we are listening and we will act on your concerns.

If any of you know any other people using our roads illegally you can respond directly to this message.  All responses are confidential.
