Working Together to Make Our Roads Safer

Good morning,

Highlights from the RPU last night started with officers identifying a suspected cloned Peugeot Partner on Elizabethan Way. A short pursuit took place, after which the vehicle was located in a field on Dyehouse Lane. Forensic analysis will now be carried out to help identify the driver.

Shortly afterwards, another driver thought it was acceptable to ignore the posted 30mph speed limit. Subsequent checks revealed that the vehicle was uninsured, resulting in it being seized and the driver being referred to Operation Wolverine.

As a Road Policing Officer assigned to Rochdale, I want to help the community as much as possible. Bee in the Loop and CrimeStoppers are vital ways for members of the public to provide crucial information to the police.
