Police chase footage, tackling e-bike anti-social behaviour and team updates |

Dear residents of City West Division,
This message is to update you on our team's recent activities over the last set of shifts.
Last Saturday morning we executed a drugs warrant at a residential property near Wigman Road. The resident was home and helpfully left the door unlocked for us, so we could get inside without delay. We then found numerous bags of white and brown powder and, after some determined and thorough searching by my colleagues, the resident's mobile phone. He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class-A drugs, interviewed and has been released pending further enquiries.
On Sunday I was in Mansfield policing one of the opening games of the 2026/27 season with Mansfield Towns Third Round Caraboa Cup match with Sheffield United. The match passed without incident with Sheffield United coming out winners at 3-0.
The same cannot be said for our shift the following Tuesday. Me and PC Thomas patrolled the patch on our electric push bikes. We covered almost the whole patch from Bells Lane, Broxtowe and Wollaton Park before heading on to a footpath leading into Strelley village. After a short distance we got the distinctive wiff of cannabis before coming across two males on off-road Surron bikes. One of the males immediately made off on his bike never to be seen again, but I was able to initially grab hold of the second male, before he too wriggled free and ran into Strelley village. I caught up with him, but he gave me the runaround for a few minutes before again running off and hiding in the grounds of Strelley Hall. However, I saw him again before he again ran off towards the footbridge going over the M1. Fortunately, by this point he had ran out of breath and I was able to detain him. Cannabis, a balaclava and the lad's Surron bike were seized as a result. This meant me and PC Thomas effectively left the station with two bikes and returned with three. Over the last year our team has been working with Nottingham City Council to reduce anti-social behaviour linked to an address in Woodfield Road, near The Rocks entrance of Broxtowe Country Park. In February I issued the tenant with a community protection notice warning. This was due to repeated complaints about anti-social behaviour linked to off-road and electric bikes and was valid until this month. There was an initial reduction in complaints we received. However, last week the tenant and her family were involved in a disturbance in the street. This involved officers being verbally and drunkenly abused. No arrests were made, but the incident prompted a review of the address with further complaints identified. On Wednesday I issued the tenant with a community protection notice (CPN). This will be valid for a further six months and any breach of the CPN is a criminal offence.
