Theft from motor vehicle

We are appealing for information after multiple vehicles have had doors tried in the area of Clensmore Street and Stoney Lane.

The activity occurred at around 2am this morning.

Whilst nothing was taken and vehicles attempted were all locked and secure, previously there has been this activity reported in the same locale on the 2nd August around 0140hrs in the morning and an insecure vehicle had contents stolen from within.

From footage reviewed from previous incidents, the suspect has been a male, slim build, wearing a hoodie and had access to a pushbike.

We are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information relating to this that may have been in the area around the time of the incident and has anything suspicious recorded on local CCTV/ring-doorbell footage.

There are some simple but effective things you can do to help protect your property - where possible remove all valuable items from your vehicle before leaving it unattended.

We are also encouraging the community to call us on 101 if they see anyone acting suspiciously around a vehicle.
