At this stage, the confirmed information is that the procession is expected to start from Main Street, Shenstone, at around 1pm. Timings, expected numbers and the precise route are still being confirmed. Based on information available to us, the route is expected to be similar to previous processions. The previous route was: Main Street → Church Street → Footherley Road → Richard Cooper Road → New Road → towards Shenstone railway station → across the railway bridge → Lynne Lane. Please note that this route is not currently confirmed and may change. We will provide further information once the details have been established. There will be an appropriate police presence throughout the day to help keep residents, businesses, visitors and participants safe, respond to any criminality and minimise disruption wherever possible.
We recognise the impact that protests and processions can have on local residents, businesses and those travelling through the area. Our aim is to support the right to lawful protest while protecting the safety and rights of the wider community. We will continue to work closely with partners and local community representatives and will share further updates as soon as more confirmed information is available. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
