North Bournemouth Neighbourhood Policing Team The East and West sides of Bournemouth North Neighbourhood Policing Teams at Winton station have again been busy this week, here is snapshot of what we have been up to. *A partial closure order was successfully secured at an address in West Howe where there was ongoing anti-social behaviour, drug use and criminal activity which was having a significant impact on the local community. Only the named tenant is allowed into the property now and the address will be checked regularly to ensure any breaches are enforced. *Officers attended a multi-agency meeting discussing the anti-social behaviour of nominals affecting local communities. Sharing information is vital to detect problems and find ways to address the issues. *PC Keith issued a Community Resolution Order regarding a neighbourhood dispute so stopping unreasonable behaviour between the households. *An elderly, vulnerable female has been the victim of a scam where money was being taken from her account under false pretences. She has now been safeguarded. A further couple have also been victims of a banking fraud; they have had accounts restored and money returned. *A valuable amount of intelligence was collected from a landlord regarding drug dealing at an address in Winton where a possible victim of cuckooing resides. Investigations will continue and a safeguarding check made on the person . Safe and welfare checks are usually concluded with submitting Public Protection Notices for those vulnerable victims. *A Community Contact Point was held at Castlepoint where PCSOs Mike and Susie spoke to several people; PCSO Maddie held hers at Townsend Community Centre. These are beneficial events where officers can collect intelligence, conduct surveys and sign people up for Dorset Alert. PCSOs Gosha and our colleague Sam from Boscombe station, manned the Mobile Police Van where several visitors discussed their issues and sought advice. *PCSO Susie visited the housing estate in Bearwood along with the housing officer and spoke to residents regarding ongoing anti-social behaviour problems among residents, steps are being taken to reduce the issues. *Op Track, regular foot patrol at hotspot areas, was conducted in Winton, Charminster, Slades Farm and West Howe as a deterrent to negative behaviour. Shops were visited and engagement with local people offered reassurance. *A few drunk males were breaching the Public Spaces Protection Order in Charminster, they were dealt with robustly by PCSO Gosha. *A property in Muscliffe has had criminal damage over a period of time, steps are being taken by PCSO Michael to identify and deal with those youths involved. We urge members of the public to continue reporting incidents to us – if we don’t know about it, we can’t tackle it. You can contact us via our website or by calling 101.
