Hello Resident,
๐จCrime & Safety Updates from New Hall Neighbourhood Policing team
๐ Recent Incidents: At 6:40am on Thursday 13/8/2026 an item was thrown from the LINDRIDGE ROAD bridge above the A38, Sutton Coldfield bypass, resulting in the windscreen of a moving vehicle being smashed
We have been conducting patrols alongside the well established Walmley StreetWatch groups over the past few weeks. These have been a great opportunity to speak with residents and understand some of the issues affecting the community. We are looking to build the StreetWatch presence in Wylde Green and other areas of New Hall neighbourhood, so we welcome any interest! StreetWatch is volunteer led, and they only ask for 1 hour of your time each month. Maybe you are already part of a local messaging group, and would be interested in evolving your group to work with us? ๐ค
๐ฎโ Cuppa with a Coppa police Surgeries: Our police surgeries are great opportunities for residents to meet us, raise concerns, ask questions or simply come and introduce themselves. We aim to provide a weekly police surgery across the area, at various times and locations, with the aim of being as accessible as possible. We have recently had surgeries at some of the cafes in the Wylde Green area and we also use St John's church hall in Walmley village. If you are a business/community group that would welcome our presence for a police surgery, please make contact The next police surgery will be: Saturday 29th August
Given the recent vehicle crime in the area, please keep your valuables safe, keep vehicle doors secure, and report anything suspicious
