Weapons sweeps across Roehampton and wider Putney area

Good afternoon all,

Officers are out and about this week conducting weapons sweeps of multiple spaces across Roehampton and the wider Putney area, in preparation for this weekends Notting Hill Carnival. This is because individuals in the past have been known to occasionally store weapons in areas surrounding Notting Hill for easy access. Any weapons we can take off the streets now will help to make Notting Hill carnival and the area as a whole safer going forward.
