DO NOT ENGAGE OR TALK TO THEM.
DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO GET CLOSE TO OR TOUCH YOU.
KEEP WALKING AND MOVE TO A SAFE, BUSY PLACE.

Offenders may attempt to distract someone by asking for directions, offering help, starting a conversation or creating confusion. During the distraction, they may try to steal jewellery, phones, purses or other valuables.

✅ Be aware of your surroundings.
✅ Keep jewellery and valuables out of sight.
✅ Maintain a safe distance from strangers.
✅ Be cautious if someone tries to touch, hug or distract you.
✅ Report suspicious behaviour to the police.
✅ Call 999 if an incident is happening or there is an immediate danger.
