We've arrested two people following disorder in the West Heath area today

We wanted to give you an update on the incident in West Heath this evening.

Two people have been arrested after disorder left two teenagers injured.

We were called to Grimley Road just before 4.45pm, where a 15-year-old boy was found after being stabbed. He remains in hospital this evening, with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Another boy, aged 16, was also found with stab injuries in nearby Redgate Close. He is in hospital and under arrest on suspicion of wounding.

A third boy, also aged 16, has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and remains in custody.

The investigation is at an early stage as we work to establish exactly what happened and who was involved.

Officers remain at the scene this evening, and we’d urge anyone with CCTV, dashcam footage or any other information to get in touch quoting log 3905 of 25 August.
