An update from Woodside SNT

Good morning residents, 

This is an update on what the Woodside Safer Neighbourhoods Team have been working hard with our partner agencies like the council to ensure problems are being addressed as soon as possible, we have been focusing a lot of our efforts on patrolling the hotspots during the summer where most anti-social behaviour is reportedly occurring, while doing this we have discovered encampments primarily in the South Norwood Country Park, we have removed all that have been causing disruption thanks to the assistance of Croydon Council. Portland Road high visibility patrols and engaging with our local businesses has seen a slight drop in reported Anti-Social behaviour on the strip which we as a team are very pleased with however, still much more work to do there, We have been made aware of parcel thefts around the Harrington Road and Albert Road area and are actively searching for the suspect. With the warm weather we have focussed our presence in Brickfield Meadows and SN Country Park which has helped to reduce the reports in this area. We will continue to work hard on dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour and reducing overall disruption on the Ward whilst engaging with the community wherever possible
