PCSO Wittering and I had a rare shift on duty together today and completed the following:

⚖️ I conducted a police interview under caution this morning with a young man suspected of causing damage in Asfordby  - a good result was had from this interview and following  some further investigation formal action will be taken

🚜 Following that PCSO Wittering and I went out using ANPR technology and some local knowledge to concentrate on tackling rural crime. We went out to target vehicles and equipment moving around that may have been stolen or being used to recce or steal. Pictured is one example of a vehicle and trailer stopped and checked. This was all in order and the farmers on our beat are more than happy for the small interruption to their day.

👣 I dropped PCSO Wittering off in Asfordby while I went to conduct some crime enquiries in relation to a theft. She did some laps of the town and engaged with a number of the local residents.  Foot patrols have been identified as something that residents would like to see more of.

🚓 Part of the shift was taken with routine cleaning and checks of the police vehicle - this is to ensure it is clean, roadworthy and has the right kit in it to do the job.

Finally I aim to be at Gates Garden Centre tomorrow on 27/08/26 at 13:00 hours for a local officer drop in session - basically you can come to this location at this time and speak to me in relation to any issues, pass information or simply get to know your local police officer.
