Business awareness following cooking oil theft

We’ve received some reports from businesses in north Norfolk about thefts, or attempted thefts, of used cooking oil recently.

We’d like to remind all businesses to be vigilant to this crime and to read the prevention on our website  and on the Secured by Design website: 

Shortly following a report made to officers about a theft of cooking oil at a premises in Mundesley yesterday morning, officers stopped a vehicle in Alby. Two men, aged in their 20s from Hertfordshire, were arrested on suspicion of theft and taken to custody. They were later released on bail with conditions, and enquiries are ongoing.
