As we move towards the end of August, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving. Below are some of the things we have been involved in recently Hotspot patrolsScene management Target hardening re vehicle crime and vehicle crime prevention Vulnerable location patrols, such as alleyways, open spaces, carparks, underpassesASB patrolsDistributed Streetwatch posters and promoted setting up a streetwatch in Nechells Attended and supported Clarion Fc's youth football session, where we engaged and spoke about crime prevention. TARGET hardening re vehicle crimeCommunity building and crime prevention patrols in key locationsConducted some work with regards to women's safety - Being safe in a public spaceTarget hardening re burglary crime prevention Youth engagement in open spaces, including local parks Lime bike target hardening and safety awareness patrols, whilst educating members of the public Promoted Wm now and personal safety Held a joint police and housing surgery at victor tower in partnership with EMB.
