SKIRLAUGH Crime Alert - Theft of number plate from a trailer

Dear Resident,

Humberside Police are investigating a report of a theft of a rear number plate FH65KCA from a NUGENT trailer parked on Rise Road, SKIRLAUGH.

The incident occurred between 8:30am and 5pm on Monday 24 August. The offender(s) approached a van with trailer parked whilst carrying out groundwork and removed the rear number plate of the trailer.

If you have any CCTV footage (including video doorbell), saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time or have any information about the offenders please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting occurrence ref: 26*119907.

To reduce the risk of your vehicle being broken into, please read through the below advice -

Keep the vehicle locked at all times, and ensure you double lock it.

Make sure that your vehicle alarm is set.

Anti-theft number plate screws work well as a visual and practical deterrent against opportunistic thieves.

Don't leave tools in a van over night.

If possible park your vehicle on a drive or as close to your home as possible.

When away from Home Park in a busy, well overlooked area. If the car will be there after dark try to find somewhere illuminated
