Working Together to Keep Pimlico South SafeYour local neighbourhood policing team has been working hard to address the concerns raised by residents and make Pimlico South a safer place for everyone who lives, works, and visits the area. High Visibility Patrols and Weapon SweepsOfficers have continued to conduct high-visibility patrols across Pimlico South, focusing on areas identified as local hotspots. In addition, we have carried out a number of weapon sweeps in locations highlighted through intelligence and community concerns. These proactive activities help us deter crime, identify potential risks, and reassure the community. Tackling Road Safety ConcernsRoad safety remains a key priority for both residents and the neighbourhood team. During our monthly ward surgeries, concerns have frequently been raised about cyclists riding through red traffic lights and vehicles exceeding speed limits. In response, officers have planned and carried out a number of targeted operations, including: These operations are designed to improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists alike. Addressing Drug-Related ConcernsFollowing reports from residents regarding suspected drug-related activity around Peabody Avenue, officers have been actively engaging with members of the community to better understand their concerns and gather information. As part of this work, officers have conducted multiple patrols along the rear of Peabody Avenue and surrounding areas. These patrols have provided reassurance to residents while helping officers identify any ongoing issues. We will continue to carry out further patrols and work with partners where appropriate to address concerns and improve the quality of life for local residents. Working in PartnershipWe recognise that many local issues require a partnership approach. We continue to work closely with Westminster City Council (WCC) and Councillor Williams to address concerns raised by residents and businesses throughout Pimlico South. By sharing information, problem-solving together, and responding to the issues that matter most to our community, we are committed to delivering long-term improvements across the ward. Looking AheadThe neighbourhood team remains committed to listening to residents and tackling the issues that matter most. We will continue to conduct patrols, targeted enforcement operations, community engagement events, and partnership work to ensure Pimlico South remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone. We would like to thank residents for their continued support and for reporting issues to us. Your information helps us identify local priorities and direct our resources where they are needed most.
We encourage residents to continue reporting concerns to help us identify issues and target our patrols effectively. In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, always call 999 immediately. For non-emergency matters, please call 101 to report crime, anti-social behaviour, or concerns that do not require an immediate police response.
