Rat Catcher Scam!

Dear Residents,

We have been informed by a KIDBROOKE PARK resident that on the 25/08/2026 a man knocked on their door to say he was a rat catcher. The male in question said there was two recently dead rats down the side way of the property and that they will come back the next day to clear the undergrowth and possibly use rat killer /chemicals etc. They quoted roughly about £1000 and that payment would be by cheque or bank card not cash and he asked for a cheque. 

We believe this may be a scam so be on alert and do not allow people into your property if you do not know who they are.

Please do your research and check your reviews regarding companies before making any decisions.

Certainly do not make payment up front.

This message is just to make you aware of possible scammers. If you have had anything similar recently happen on your road please call 101 and let the police know any details you have. Description of people involved / dates / times / incident.
