Working Together to Keep Our Community Safe

Dear Resident, 

We would like to update you on some positive work recently undertaken by your local Neighbourhood Policing Team.

What we did:

As part of ongoing work to address nuisance vehicles and improve road safety across Swale, local officers, including myself, recently carried out targeted patrols in several areas following community concerns.

Although some vehicles linked to previous reports were not located despite a significant police presence, officers remained proactive in monitoring key locations and responding to intelligence.

Location:
Patrols in the Woodstock, Upchurch and Hartlip area. Vehicle Stopped in Newington. 

Date:
7th August 2026

Outcome:
During patrols, officers stopped a suspicious vehicle. Following enquiries, appropriate enforcement action was taken against the driver for the offence of driving without valid insurance, and further checks of the vehicle and occupants were completed.

We will continue to conduct patrols, act on information provided by residents, and take proportionate enforcement action where offences are identified. Thank you to everyone who continues to report concerns and support our efforts to keep local roads safe.
