Good afternoon,
I would like to take the opportunity to update you on some of the work we have been carrying out in your area following concerns raised regarding anti-social behaviour (ASB) and suspected drug-related activity.
Over the past couple of weeks, we have been made aware of a number of issues within the local area. In response, we have deployed a combination of plain-clothes resources and high-visibility patrols to the area. These deployments have been focused on gathering intelligence, identifying those involved.
I am pleased to provide a positive update. Last week, a woman believed to be involved in some of the issues was arrested in relation to a theft-related offence. She has subsequently been remanded in custody and is currently expected to remain in prison until October.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has provided information and supported us in addressing these concerns. Information from the community is extremely valuable and helps us to build a clearer picture of what is happening locally and take appropriate action.
If the issues continue, please continue to report them to us. The more information we receive, the better placed we are to develop our response and, where necessary, consider more robust measures to tackle the problems.
