Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team

✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅

Last week in Walsall St Matthew's Neighbourhood team have been very busy within the Walsall Town Centre with Operation Advance. Officers have been pro-active in the town centre alongside our Safer Towns Summer team, tackling ASB and any offenses that occurred. Officers have seized an illegal E-bike that was being rode in an Anti-social manner. As well as 6 E-scooters also being seized. There has also been a joint event with Walsall Council's trading standards team. Tackling the local shops that are selling illegal cigarettes and counterfeit items. Local Officers have also remained active with arrests. One of which was including an individual who was wanted for 8 separate offenses, they were found by two of our neighbourhood officers then was arrested. A vehicle had also been seized by the a local officer for driving with no insurance. In relation to traffic matters, local PCSO's have also been conducting speedwatches in certain areas where speeding is a concern, tackling and issuing speeding drivers with warning letters and spreading awareness in the area.

📅 Upcoming Police & Community Engagements 📅

More speedwatches are set to be planned with the local volunteered residents, these will take place throughout September in the targeted areas where speeding occurs more frequently.  Officers will also remain active in the town tackling any crime that may come across within the town centre, offering reassurance and public service to those who may be shopping in the town centre or just visiting. Local PCSO's have also planned this week to engage with those who are local to the area, offering advice about crime prevention and to give a chance for the members of public to raise any concerns they may have. It will be prioritised to continue building relation between the public and the Police.
