Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team

Hello all,

This is a message from St Michael’s Team 1 to let update on some of the things we have been doing in your area this week.

St.Michael’s officers have continued patrolling the Pool Meadow Bus Station, Lady Herbert’s Gardens, and Coventry Transport Museum as the hot spots of anti social behaviour, with help from various other departments within West Midlands Police. 

As a part of our Safer Towns Summer campaign, the officers have been working closely with the Business Improvement District, Street Patrol and West Orchards Shopping Centre to ensure the safety of both the visitors and the staff at local businesses within the Coventry City Centre. 

Our officers achieved fantastic results in relation to a problematic property at Hillman House in Coventry City Centre. The anti social behaviour at the property caused concerns, worries and serious disruption to other residents. Thanks to a close partnership with the Citizen Housing staff, they managed to secure a Closure Order at one of the flats.

Please note that due to the nature of our role as officers, sometimes situations occur that are beyond our control, therefore, if we are not at an advertised event, it is because we were called to an emergency that sometimes does not give us time to contact WM Now and such like to cancel an event.

With the new school year starting, we encourage all parents and carers to discuss safety and prevention advice with your children. Officers will be out on patrols, and always appreciate a quick hello or any questions, that you or your child might have.
