🚗 Lock It, Check It, Don't Regret It

Dear Eastcote Residents,

As much as we'd all like to believe that opportunist thieves take holidays too, they unfortunately don't.

A quick reminder to help keep our neighbourhood safe:

✅ Lock your vehicle every time you leave it, even if it's only for a few minutes.

✅ Double-check that it's actually locked. Modern key fobs are wonderful things, but they occasionally have other ideas. A quick tug on the door handle can save a lot of hassle later.

✅ If you're having building or renovation work carried out, please ensure that doors, windows, side gates and access points are properly secured at the end of each day. Scaffolding and building materials can sometimes provide unwanted opportunities for intruders.

✅ If your property cannot be fully secured during works, avoid leaving valuables, cash, jewellery, keys, laptops or other attractive items on site where possible.

Remember, most thieves are looking for the easiest opportunity. Let's make Eastcote the place where they realise they've chosen the wrong street and move on.
