Theft from Vehicles

Good afternoon Resident,

We have received a number of reports regarding thefts from vehicles often left unlocked overnight. Please take a few moments to protect your property:

✅ Lock your vehicle, even when parked on your driveway.
✅ Remove all valuables, including bags, wallets, and electronic devices.
✅ Do not leave spare keys inside the vehicle.
✅ Ensure windows and sunroofs are fully closed.
✅ Consider using security lighting or CCTV where available.

Opportunist thieves often target vehicles that are easy to access. A simple check before going to bed could prevent becoming a victim of crime.

Officers have stepped up patrols in response to this, please feel free to come and speak to us. If you have any cctv or find you have been a victim of such crime, it can be reported and uploaded on  Report | Lancashire Constabulary  .
