Tackling speeders in Clifton 🚔

🚓🚨In response to concerns raised by residents during our Partner and Community Together (PACT) meetings regarding speeding in the Clifton area, Swinton Neighbourhood Officers and the Roads Policing Unit conducted enforcement activity at multiple locations today to address the issue directly

During our Operation:
🚗 2 vehicles were seized after drivers were found to be driving without a valid licence and insurance.

⚡ 2 drivers were issued with speeding tickets.

🗣️ 17 drivers were given words of advice regarding their speed.
📋 A further 20 drivers received tickets or words of advice for various offences, including failing to wear a seatbelt, vehicle defects, and vehicle use offences.

⚠️ There is no excuse for speeding. Exceeding the speed limit not only puts you at risk of receiving a fine and penalty points, but more importantly endangers both yourself and other road users. 

🤝We will continue to listen to community concerns and carry out proactive operations to improve road safety across our neighbourhoods. Please remember: speed limits are there for a reason. Drive safely and responsibly.
