Good morning everyone.
As I look out my window and see the rain coming down, it definitely feels like the end of Summer and the start of Autumn! Those cosy nights at home will soon be upon us and then The C word which I will stop myself from saying! Anyway, as always, I digress!
Defibrillator We were lucky enough to be offered a Defibrillator by National Neighbourhood Watch, and we jumped at the opportunity. We consulted with LAS (London Ambulance Service) and they suggested the place that really needed one most and had a defibrillator gap in Merton was Rowans Road. After a bit of google maps searching for an Ideal building, we contacted St Olaves Church, and they were happy to take the donation. We popped down a couple of weeks ago and as you can see from the perfectly posed picture, we gifted the Defibrillator.

Merton Pride After a hugely successful debut in 2025, Merton Pride is returning to our streets on Saturday 5th September 2026! MertonPlus LGBTQ+ Community Group invites friends, allies, and supporters from across the borough to help make next year’s celebration even bigger and better. Whether you’d like to sponsor the event, add some sparkle to the Pride March, or entertain the crowds, there are plenty of ways to get involved in Merton Pride 2026! Just like last year, the festivities will begin at 10am in Morden Hall Park, leading into a vibrant Pride March from Morden to Merton Abbey Mills, where you’ll be welcomed with community stalls and hours of live entertainment. Big Sports Day Our flagship Borough of Sport event is returning to Canons House and Grounds, and everyone's invited to get involved. This year, dozens of local sports clubs, coaches and organisations will be offering free taster sessions throughout the day. From athletics, cricket and table tennis to crazy golf, walking football and inclusive sports like Boccia, there's something for people of all ages and abilities to try. There's so much to discover at Big Sports Day. Enjoy demonstrations and performances on the main stage, meet local clubs, win prizes for trying something new and tuck into delicious street food.
