Cycle Operation on KINGS ROAD

Today Chelsea Safer Neighbourhood Officers and colleagues from Kensington ran an operation targeting cyclists who don't adhere to the rules of the road.

Additionally multiple vehicles were stopped and checked.

Cyclists seen running red lights were stopped. It was explained to them about their safety and other peoples safety. There is only one outcome with a collision with a bus and a cyclist. They won't even hear it coming if they are wearing headphones.

Officers issued 9 Antisocial Behaviour Warnings and 3 Fixed Penalty Notices.

We met a lot of residents from the area who spoke to us and were grateful for our visible presence and for dealing with this behaviour that affects them. 

We will continue these operations in various locations in the future.
