After some annual leave and Bank Holidays, my shifts have been quite broken but don’t worry if you haven’t seen me out and about, I am still around and will continue to send these end working set messages…. Until the Harassment complaints come in :) …
On the 26/08 I had a meeting at Birchen Coppice School with the aim to supporting them with a child. This is to prevent them going down the wrong route, getting them back into school and getting the support they require. Something that Kidderminster Response teams don’t get to do, while running around everywhere, is think about the future. This is the importance of the Safer Neighbourhood Teams, we can do these meetings and help get support to people to prevent more work down the line.
Since then I have been out supporting our vulnerable members on Risk Management Plans. This is where we have a plan and we can do check up visits and support. We can give personalised security advice and during the early stages post crime offer an important role in helping people feel safer in their own homes. On the 02/09 I have arrested a male who had been recalled to prison due to his behaviour. I know a lot of people can feel let down by court outcomes when they get a suspended sentence, but this does mean that they must attend and work with the Probation Service during this time. This arrest was joint work with Probation. Not being in prison gives the chance for people to be educated and change their behaviour, but if they don’t they can end up in prison or be recalled back to prison to serve their sentence.
On the 03/09 I have been out of my neighbourhood police area but still in Kidderminster helping another SNT. This was joint work with the RSPCA and a dog was seized for its welfare. The owner was arrested for the mistreatment of the animal and interviewed in police custody. Back on Oldington, Foley and Sutton Park I found a missing person who was having mental health issues and made sure they were safe back home. Don’t ignore your mental health, it is no different to your physical health! Speak to you GP if you have any concerns, its best to catch things early. Or speak to the Samaritans if you need someone to talk to. 116 123

I haven’t checked this one but I feel I help make a dent in this one - People in the United Kingdom drink about 165 million cups of tea every single day Todays date in 1893 English author Beatrix Potter writes the story of Peter Rabbit for a 5-year-old boy. This was to Noel Moore to cheer him up while he recovered from scarlet fever. | ||
