Overnight Crimes

Please see below for overnight crimes reported on Emerson Park ward.

Theft Of Motor Vehicle reported at Staverton Road

On 01/09/2026 at about 2300 hours, suspect(s) unknown have gained access into and stolen a White Toyota RAV4 (keyless ignition), without being seen or heard (or so they thought). 

The owner was made aware that his motor vehicle was being driven, phoned Met Police and activated the tracker. The Toyota was found abandoned and intact only 15 minutes later in Royle Close, Romford. The Toyota has been recovered. 

A steering wheel lock is the best deterrent for car thieves.

Residential Burglary reported in Woodlands Avenue

On 01/09/2025 sometime between late afternoon to 1900 hours, suspect(s) unknown have accessed the rear garden, moved a garden chair against the wall and climbed up on top of the conservatory to reach through a fanlight window, which had been left open. Suspect(s) must have been able to open the main window, to gain access into the property, as no criminal damage has been caused. 

Neighbour phoned the homeowner shortly before 1900 hours, informing them that their house alarm was sounding, but could not see anything obvious. The homeowner immediately returned home with their son and noticed the main switch to the electrics had been switched off (silencing the house alarm). However, nothing was out of place and nothing appears to have been stolen.   

There has been no further overnight crimes of Robbery or Theft from Motor Vehicle reported on the ward between 30/08/2026 - 04/09/2026
