Opportunists - Vehicle Crime

Hi folks,

Sorry to report we are still receiving reports of vehicles left on drives insecure.

Unknown persons are then helping themselves to any property left inside.

This has been prevalent on the Sutton Ward recently but a resident on Birch Avenue ( Grange ) has today informed me a number of vehicles have also been affected during the early hours today.

While investigations continue please ensure your vehicle is locked and remove any valuables  - even if hidden since in most cases an untidy search is usually made.

Did you know on some models it can be seen if the car is locked -  or not, by the position of the wing mirrors.
