Road Closure Breach Report – Cannon Hill Lane

We have been informed regarding the road closures on Cannon Hill Lane that multiple vehicles have been observed ignoring the closure restrictions. Drivers were seen moving road closure signs and bollards in order to gain access to the closed section of road. In some instances, vehicles were also observed driving on the pavement to bypass the closure.

Unauthorized removal of road signs is illegal and can result in fines or other penalties.

Driving on the pavement to avoid a road closure could result in a Section 59 Warning being issued and vehicles seized where grounds exist. The team will monitor the situation and increase patrols of this area.

If you witness this behaviour we would require:

CCTV footage covering the road closure area.

Date and Time of incident.

Vehicle registration numbers clearly visible.

Evidence of signs/bollards being removed or displaced or vehicles driving on the pavement.

willing to provide a statement to Police.
