Charged | A man from Swansea has been charged in connection with five robberies

We can provide an update following incidents in the Manselton and Brynhyfryd area. A post went out on our social media channel on Friday as below. 

Charged | A man from Swansea has been charged in connection with five robberies – four at knifepoint – in the areas of Waunarlwydd, Brynhyfryd and Manselton.

33-year-old Shane Burne, from Waunarlwydd, has been charged with four counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery.

He appeared in court this morning.

Detective Chief Inspector Alethea Fowler said: “Robbery is a violent crime which has a big impact on victim’s lives.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to removing violent offenders from our streets and ensuring the continued safety of our communities. 

“We will continue to work tirelessly to hold perpetrators to accountable and protect the public.”
