Medlock valley off road bike seized!

Dear Residents,

While on patrol today dealing with an unrelated incident, your local Neighbourhood Policing Team identified a bicycle that had been illegally modified with a petrol engine.

Officers stopped the rider and spoke with him regarding the vehicle. During the conversation, he admitted to riding the bike in and around Medlock Valley, an area where concerns have previously been raised about the use of illegal off road bikes and anti social behaviour.

As a result, the vehicle was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act. The bike will not be returned to the owner.

This is another positive example of how information provided by the community, combined with proactive patrols by local officers, helps us tackle issues that matter to residents. We remain committed to addressing concerns around illegal vehicles and anti-social behaviour to help keep our neighbourhoods safe and enjoyable for everyone.
