Home Fire Safety Visits – Keep Yourself and Loved Ones Safe

Dear Resident,

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) offers free Home Fire Safety Visits to help people stay safe in their homes — especially those most at risk of fire.

During a visit, SFRS staff can:
🔥 Assess fire risks in the home
🔥 Provide personalised safety advice
🔥 Fit or check smoke alarms where needed
🛡️ Help identify and reduce other risks of unintentional injury

These visits are friendly, supportive, and designed to help people live more safely and confidently at home.

👥 Book a Visit for Someone Else
If you’re concerned about a friend, neighbour, or family member, you can request a visit on their behalf (with their consent) by completing the Home Fire Safety Questionnaire.

🤝 Information for Partners
If you work with people who may benefit from extra support, you can find guidance on how to refer individuals to SFRS.
