Burgess Park noise and ASB

Good evening,

I am contacting you as a resident living in the vicinity of Burgess Park.

At our most recent Ward Panel meeting, concerns were raised regarding the unacceptable level of noise and loud music emanating from various gatherings within Burgess Park. Residents reported that this is having a significant impact on their quality of life, particularly during the evening and at unsociable hours.

Although Burgess Park does not fall within the Old Kent Road Safer Neighbourhood Team's area of responsibility, we recognise the concerns being raised. As a result, we will be increasing our patrols along Cobourg Road and will engage with any individuals or groups causing unnecessary noise where appropriate.

The ward responsible for policing Burgess Park is Faraday Ward. I have contacted their Sergeant to establish what action is currently being taken to address reports of loud music and noise nuisance within the park. I will also raise these concerns with the local council to explore any additional measures that may be available.
