Good Evening Everyone,
Officers from the Salford North Neighbourhood Team, covering Broughton, Kersal, Blackfriars & Trinity, will soon undertake training to use reciprocating saws as a method of entry into addresses, giving us rapid easy access to some of the most secure doors.
Allowing us to do this is the generosity of one of our partner agencies, Onward, who have kindly purchased the required kit for us. Partnership working is key to everything we do in community policing, and Onward is just one of many partners we work with on a daily basis.
Using this method of gaining access to properties, means only the door has to be replaced, and expensive damage to frames, brickwork and lintels is avoided. This saves our partners, including the tax payer funded council, money in costly and time consuming repairs.
We visited today, met some of their staff, and collected the kit.
