✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅

This set our PCSOs have been outside ASDA, McDonald's and KFC offering a visible presence to members of our community, also giving you all a chance to interact with us, in an informal setting. It was great seeing so many of you approach our officers, whether you were simply seeking advice, or just wanted a chat. The team have also been on the bus interchange deterring anti-social behaviour from occurring by enforcing the PSPO that is in place. Our officers continually remind the public of the conditions set in place on the interchange to tackle ASB - these include; no face coverings if used in an anti-social manner, no e-bikes, mopeds, quad-bikes, or pedal cycles unless operating with a lawful excuse, and no groups of 3 or more after 6PM if believed to be engaging in anti-social behaviour.

🚨 Crime & Safety Updates — What You Need to Know 🚨

🔎 Recent Incidents/Trends:

Due to a slight increase in burglaries, we’d like to remind you to ensure all doors are locked, ladders are stored away, and valuables are kept out of view from people on the outside.

We have also noticed Theft from Motor Vehicles and Theft of Motor Vehicles has slightly risen – due to this, we are reminding people to lock their cars, remove any valuables from the inside, and ensure that you do not leave your vehicle unattended when it is running, or unlocked, even for a few minutes.

💬 To help us combat theft from/of motor vehicle, please make sure your vehicle is locked, secure, and nothing of value is visible from the outside to deter opportunistic offenders from damaging your vehicle to get to anything you may have left in view. Prevention is key; steering locks are inexpensive and easily found in local motoring shops, or through a reliable online retailer. You should also place any keyless entry vehicle keys in a faraday pouch to prevent relay theft - these are also inexpensive and easily found through online retailers, or at any of our drop-in sessions where we regularly give them out.
