Kensington Court Residents Association - Annual Street Party

It was a pleasure to be invited along to the Kensington Court Residents Association - Annual Street Party on Thackeray Street on Sunday 6th Sept. The weather was fine and it was a great way to meet so many of our residents and business owners and enjoy seeing the Community have a great time. 

Thank you to my colleagues PC Ben Tivey and PCSO Mel Mouzouris who came along and showed a large number of people around our Mini Bus and offered them the chance try out some of our kit, hats, shields and try out the blue lights and sirens and grab a few stickers as well as offering crime prevention advice.

I understand from the Chair, Julie Mills, that all 350 party tickets were sold and 2 books of 500 raffle tickets were also sold and that means a sizeable donation to the Royal Marsden in Memory of Sandra French.

Well done to Julie and all those involved in organising outting togehter and running the event. Also a big thank you to the local cafes, bars and resturants that provided hospitaltiy for those attending.
