Burglary

Here’s an update on burglary locally.

On 04 September 2026 at approximately 8:27pm, suspects gained entry to a property on Mitchley Avenue by smashing a front window pane. The occupants were not present at the time. Two suspects were seen inside the address before leaving the scene. Fortunately, nothing was reported stolen, although damage was caused to the property.

CCTV enquiries have identified a grey Volkswagen Golf with a notably loud exhaust that may be linked to the incident. A total of four male suspects were seen in the vicinity before leaving the area in the vehicle.

Review any CCTV, Ring Doorbell, dashcam or other footage captured between 8:00pm and 9:00pm on 04 September 2026.
Report any sightings of a grey Volkswagen Golf with the number plate.
