Local Priorities Parking Issues Message

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Parking Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

🚗Our PCSOs issued three Traffic Offence Reports in West Pontnewydd yesterday. We have tried to tackle pavement parking by leaving information leaflets on cars, but unfortunately, many people are still blocking the footpaths. We know parking can be tricky, but please remember that blocking pavements or grass verges is not acceptable ❌

We would much rather prevent these issues than issue traffic offence reports, but we have had to take action following ongoing complaints.

Patrols will still continue within the area and we are listening to those that raise these concerns to us. Foot paths/grass verges are used for pedestrians not cars, all pedestrians, but more so, those who are wheelchair users, pushing prams or walking with their children should be able to walk safely on the pavements
