Early Morning Beat Sweeps

Officers from the neighbourhood team were out early this morning conducting proactive beat sweeps throughout Chinatown and the surrounding area.

During the operation, three males were stopped and searched under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. No controlled drugs were found and all three individuals were sent on their way.

Officers also carried out checks of local car parks to identify any signs of anti-social behaviour and are pleased to report that no issues were found.

These patrols form part of our ongoing commitment to keeping Chinatown a safe and welcoming place for residents, businesses and visitors. We will continue to carry out high-visibility patrols and address concerns raised by the community.
