CRIME update for August 2026

Dear Resident

Here is an update regarding Burglaries, Vehicle Crime and Criminal damage which occurred in the Leen Police beat area during the month of August. 

Burglary residential = 0

Criminal damage = 3

13/08 Citadel Street – Side gate to property kicked in casing damage.

15/08 Ilkeston Road – At 6:30pm, male has spilt white paint on front of store.

22/08 Forster Street – Child throws a stone and damages a car.

Theft of motor vehicle = 0

Theft from vehicle = 6

Between 08/08 and 09/08 Kingsford Avenue – Vehicle broken into whereby purse containing money stolen from within.

13/08 Hartley Road – Insecure vehicle, electrical goods stolen from within.

16/08 Glentworth Road – Vehicle broken into whereby Rayban sunglasses with wallet containing driving license, bank cards and money stolen from within. 

20/08 Norton Street – Vehicle broken into whereby items stolen from within.

Between 19/08 and 20/08 Alfreton Road – Wallet from central console stolen from within.

23/08 Glentworth Road – Unknown suspect has tried doors handles of multiple cars along street, no entry gained.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU LOCK ALL YOUR DOORS AND WINDOWS, ENSURE YOU REMOVE ALL VALUABLE ITEMS FROM VISIBLE VIEW
